TOKYO, Japan - April 9, 2012 - GREE today announced an investment in Wizcorp Inc. - a Tokyo-based game developer. Wizcorp specializes in HTML5 game development and is a leading resource for developers seeking to expand their knowledge of web-based technology.

Established in 2008, Wizcorp was a pioneer of front and back-end development of high-performing HTML5 games solely relying on Javascript, coupling its proprietary game engine - “Mithril” - with node.js in the back-end. GREE will leverage Wizcorp's industry expertise to add more HTML5 experience to its existing developer partner portfolio.

GREE's investment in Wizcorp brings GREE another step closer to delivering a leading mobile social gaming ecosystem to users and developers worldwide. Through GREE's social mobile games platform, scheduled for release in Q2 2012, GREE will find and create high-quality content and a robust social gaming experience.

Since the establishment of its first North American office in February 2011, GREE has focused on extensive global expansion. GREE's new North American studio, based in the San Francisco area, is creating new free-to-play game experiences and has recently released its first two games - Zombie Jombie and Alien Family.
